BASSMENT ENTERTAINMENT, Inc is a small home-based entertainment company that will assist unsigned talents trying to break into the music industry. Founded by Benyamin, a music disc jockey and producer from Brooklyn, NY, the aim of BASSMENT ENTERTAINMENT is to produce quality, community conscious music guaranteed to make you bounce. At the same time BASSMENT ENTERTAINMENT will spread its music and the music of other companies by continuing to promote and parties as well as hold showcases and concert events.
BASSMENT ENTERTAINMENT aims to be among the top entertainment companies in the music industry. Along with being an independent recording label we will provide each of our artists with management, production, promotion and/or publishing while providing a family-relationship.
BASSMENT ENTERTAINMENT will also play the role of a promoter where we will provide mobile DJ services as well as promote parties and concert events.
The idea for BASSMENT ENTERTAINMENT originated in 1997 when Benyamin and Angell "Chynadol" Wynn, a longtime friend and former partner of the company, met. They both noticed that they had a deep interest in the entertainment industry and both had the goal of starting a record label. Angell sent Benyamin a demo tape she had recorded with a producer out of Cincinnati, Ohio and complained of being unhappy with her tracks and the fact that she didn't have a manager. Benyamin was impressed with Angell's vocal talent and offered to produce her demo and to manage her career. After listening to one track that Benyamin had produced for her Angell seen his extraordinary talent. They both saw that the other had a natural love for music and an extensive knowledge of the industry, so they felt that there was no reason why they should settle for being under the control of a record label when they could do it themselves. With Benyamin's production talent and Angell's vocal and marketing talent they decided to start BASSMENT ENTERTAINMENT. The name BASSMENT ENTERTAINMENT originated as "Bassment Productions" which it was called by Benyamin because of the production work that he did in his basement while growing up. Both Angell Wynn and Benyamin felt that an entertainment company would provide them with greater growth opportunity than a production company would. An entertainment company would allow them to enter all facets of the entertainment industry, such as film, recording, publishing, management, magazine publication, etc. Distance and financing prevented the two from continuing to do business together but in the meantime they encourage each other's separate endeavors and hope the situation improves so that the two can work together in the future. They each recognize the other's talents extraordinary and irreplaceable.
Benyamin (President): He has been writing rap lyrics since he was 13, producing tracks since the age of 15 and been disc jockeying parties since the age of 17. He now has an extensive background and knowledge in all three areas. He is currently the manager and producer of DaKaos as well as himself. As a disc jockey Benyamin was a member of a duo known as "Style N' Perfection", which consisted of himself and Boston native DJ S.O.M.A. The duo had worked together for two years and during that time they have graced many cities with their talent of working together as a team and their ability to promote and create good parties that has anyone who has attended one of their parties talking to this day. Benyamin is now working solo (which is how he started) and has grown in experience, talent and range of music selection by continuing to do parties as well as making mix tapes. He has been and is currently disc jockeying parties for the National Society of Black Engineers (NSBE), various colleges, house parties, birthday parties, graduation parties, wedding receptions and nonprofit organizations.
As a producer Benyamin began making music tracks by playing with his computer sampler, he saw that he had a knack for it and loved doing it. Benyamin started Bassment Productions and immediately put his rap career on hold and decided to go into production because he loved it more, was better at it and felt he had a better opportunity to enter the music industry by doing so. In the past Benyamin has produced and disc jockeyed for a solo rap artist known as Fortune as well as a rap group known as S.T.E.E.L (Straight To Every Earthling Live). Neither was successful but the experience Benyamin gained from producing for these artists only increased his love for the music industry, his desire to enter it and gain knowledge and experience along the way. He has learned that no one wants more for him than himself and no one can do more for him than himself. Benyamin's ultimate goal after what he has done and what he is doing now is to own and operate his own independent label (BASSMENT ENTERTAINMENT) as well as establish himself as a producer, manager and DJ. In the meantime Benyamin keeps many contacts in the music industry. In the past Benyamin worked as a Street Team member and College Representative for Def Jam Recordings. In addition to Benyamin's musical career he currently attends Polytechnic University in Brooklyn, NY majoring in Computer Science and works for Verizon as a Field Technician. Benyamin chooses music as his first choice however, this decision was made based on his ultimate faith in the Most High God and his belief that his talent, along with that of his partner, Naphtali David, will soon be recognized and rewarded. As president of BASSMENT ENTERTAINMENT Benyamin will oversee all operations of the company and be the decision-maker. He has been and will continue to make the company successful. Although he wanted to do everything on his own he realizes that he can't do everything on his own.
Naphtali "DaKaos" David (Vice President): Naphtali has been rapping and writing lyrics since the age of nine. Throughout the years he has never passed up an opportunity to show his talents; performing in school talent shows and locals clubs in his native Brooklyn, New York neighborhood. He began producing his own tracks for his demos in 1988; he picked that up by working with local Brooklyn producer Jerry Calender (D.E.F., Doug E. Fresh, Wild Thing, and Laquan). Naphtali along with his former long time rap group "Menace 2 Society" has shared the stage with artists like Doug E. Fresh, Little Vicious and M.O.P. Although his music career was extremely important, education has always been a priority and necessity to Naphtali, especially if he wants to be up to par in the industry. Naphtali graduated from New York City Technical College where he majored in Graphic Arts and Advertisement Management. Not only will he be an artist and producer under his performance name DaKaos but as Vice President of BASSMENT ENTERTAINMENT Naphtali will assist Benyamin in all endeavors of the company. His background in Graphics Arts and Advertising will also play an integral part in the Marketing and Promotions Department where his expertise in designing packages for products will be needed. Naphtali's goal for BASSMENT ENTERTAINMENT is to create a hip-hop based entertainment company that will be the forerunners of the hip-hop industry in the next millennium by delivering to the fans of hip-hop music the best material possible and conceivable.
"Da Bassment...where it all begins". Ask most artists, producers and DJs within the music industry about this and they will tell you that this statement holds true. This section serves as a journal of what's going on with Bassment Entertainment. This won't be the last you will see from Miss Devine, as long as she keeps pushing forward in her modeling career as she did with this contest she will make it far. All women interested in being in "Da Spotlight" are welcome to apply. You do not have to be a model or aspire to be one. You just have to want to shine in "Da Spotlight." That's all that will be said about it at this time. • 6-1-2003 This month of June means two things for Bassment Entertainment. This is the beginning of the third year that Bassment Entertainment is in operation and the beginning of the second year that BassmentEntertainment.com has been online. I would like to personally thank everyone who has been to our events and surfed this web site. Throughout the years we have been throwing events (even before our official incorporation in 2000) and many of you have shown your support. We intend to keep your support as well as gain new support in the future. I would also like to thank all of the women who have been and currently are in "Da Spotlight". You all have kept this web site going. Applications to "Da Spotlight" are always open to all women. You do not have to be a model, whether you're the girl next door or the girl in the next cubicle this section is for you. Congratulations to all winners of the "Spotlight Of The Month" contest including our current winner, Nina. She is new to the modeling scene and already has one notch on her belt, expect more in the future. Stay tuned for more things to come. Look out for future events, check us out if you need to hire a DJ and...well the next feature is to come. • 5-4-2003 Congratulations to Sandra who won our latest installment of "Da Spotlight Of The Month" contest. She claimed 40% of the overall votes which was not an easy task since she ran against Roni who claimed 56% of the overall votes during our last contest. Roni staged a comeback in the last two days but did not overcome. Sandra can now safely move on to our "Spotlight Of The Year" contest in December where she will meet Roni again. However, Sandra will try to win the next "Spotlight Of The Month" contest which will take place on May 25th. Sandra's first contestant will be Raja Trynyty who is our "Spotlight Of The Week". In other news, we are currently working on some events for the summer as well as a big project which we will announce within the next few weeks. 4-27-03 Once again we embark on another "Spotlight Of The Month" contest. The contestants this time around are Twelve30, Christal, Coy Wells, Sandra and Roni (who is going for her second win). By the looks of these contestants this could turn out to be an exciting contest. Each contestant is not only beautiful but accomplished in their careers and determined in their goals. The only way to make sure your favorite wins is to vote everyday and to help your favorite promote herself. The contest will end on Saturday, May 3rd at 11:59 Pm (PST). 4-20-03 We would like to thank you all for sticking with us throughout the past year and a half. We also thank you all for the compliments on the updated site. We well try to keep this site updated and looking brand new for all of your enjoyment. Contact us and let us know how we can make this site even better. "Da Spotlight" is continuing to go strong and this week we have Coy Wells from Oakland, CA being featured. We have not forgotten you all. • 12-15-2002 Rah (who claimed the final spot in the "2003 Spotlight Of The Year" contest by winning the "December Spotlight Of The Month" contest) has taken a commanding lead in the contest. She has been working hard since the contest started but with two weeks left it could be anyone's race. Erica is slowly creeping up and not letting up. Ms Sonya is not far behind either. • 12-1-2002 And their off...Rah claimed the final spot in the "2003 Spotlight Of The Year" contest by winning the "December Spotlight Of The Month" contest on Thursday, November 28th. Now we begin the contest for our next "Spotlight Of The Year" who you will see front and center in "Da Spotlight" for the entire year of 2003. The choice is all yours on who you would like to see win. • 11-24-2002 If you haven't had a chance to do so (or didn't know) check out the photos from our previous event, "3B6- Energy". More photos are coming soon. Also look out for our upcoming event on Tuesday, December 31st (New Year's Eve) at Demerara in Manhattan, NY. This week you can vote for the next "Spotlight Of The Month". The women going for the title are Platinum (last month's winner), Shyne, LeVonne, Rah and Rose-Allure. Your selection will also determine who gets the final spot in our "Spotlight Of The Year" contest. • 11-10-2002 The Bassment Entertainment web site will be getting a new look in the near future. We thank you all who have been checking in during the past year and a half and keeping up with us. It is time for a new look and it is coming soon. In the meantime, take a look at LeVonne who is "Da Spotlight Of The Week". Also stay posted for our next event scheduled for January. • 11-3-2002 After three months of dominance Shiyanni has been outdone as "Da Spotlight Of The Month". She was outvoted by Platinum, from Charlotte, NC who collected 173 votes. This is the largest vote tally to date and she also obtained 54% of the overall votes. This isn't the end for Shiyanni who will be in "Da Spotlight Of The Year" contest which will also include Platinum, Princess, Ameshya, C.J., Yanina, Tarnita, Nakeya and the winner of "Da Spotlight Of The Month - December" contest. This could be Shyne who is our "Spotlight Of The Week". • 10-27-2002 Last night was our only annual event to date, 3B6, which was a success. Photos of this event will be posted soon so keep checking "DaEvents" for that. Our next event (which is untitled) is scheduled for January 19th. Join our mailing list to become the first to find out where and when exactly it will be held. We will continue in the same vein of last night's event by giving all females on our mailing list free admission. This week is our "November Spotlight Of The Month" contest which features Shiyanni (a three time winner), Trinalyn, Chasidy, Trackgyrl and our current Spotlight Of The Week, Platinum. The latter four will be trying to dethrone our current Spotlight Of The Month, Shiyanni and win $200 plus go on to our "2003 Spotlight Of The Year" contest for $1,000. 9-1-02 Currently we are working on updating this web site, making a new version and giving you all something better to look at. It will consist of the same features and focus more on our events and the mailing list. Speaking of which, the next scheduled event, 3B6, is currently in the works. Be sure to join our mailing list because you do not want to miss out on this opportunity. That opportunity will be announced in the future. In other news, Shiyanni from Jacksonville, FL won the "Spotlight Of The Month" contest making her the second person to do so following Yanina. Will she be able to do it a third time? Only you can decide, voting will begin on September 29th. One of her five competitors will be this week's "Spotlight Of The Week", Ms Sonya from Charlotte, NC. One of the other four competitors could be you. • 8-25-2002 This week is another "Spotlight Of The Month" contest, this time between Ayrica, Erica, Arlisha, Miss Deira and Shiyanni (who is going for her second win). The contest ends Thursday, August 29th at 11:59 PM so go over and vote now before it is over. Summer Heat 2002 has concluded and we now look forward to out next event, 3B6. Go to "DaEvents" to find out more about what that is. • 8-23-2002 The server was down over the weekend and we apologize for any inconvenience that may have been caused. Everything is up and running now and it's business as usual. All those who sent e-mail and could not get through can now do so. Any females who tried to send in an application to "Da Spotlight" can now do so. This weekend it's on....It's About Time (Summer Heat 2002). Go to "Da Events" for more information. • 8-4-2002 Last week was an exciting and record-setting week in Da Spotlight. Our biggest "Spotlight Of The Month" contest took place totaling 289 votes. Shiyanni came out the winner with 122 votes (42%). She is the first 100+ vote getter in this contest's history. The closest was Yanina who acquired 91 votes in March. Shiyanni's margin of victory (42 votes over second place Keri) comes second to Yanina (54 votes over second place Cheeks in April). It would be great (and possible) to see these two women and more "Spotlights" at the next Bassment Entertainment event on Saturday, August 24th. I personally would like to see all five contestants of the "August Spotlight Of The Month" contest but that's asking for too much. All five are exceptional and put on a good race. We'd love to see it again between these five but unfortunately we cannot do it. Wait until you see the next contest...Yanina has one up on Shiyanni by being the only two time contest winner. Can Shiyanni change that? • 7-28-2002 It has been a while since there has been an update due to a lot going on. Our next event "It's About Time (Summer Heat 2002) is still on and going strong. It will feature guest appearances by some of our very own models of "Da Spotlight". There will also be an open mic and open stage for those who would to display their talents. After that it's party time. Visit "Da Events" for more information. Speaking of "Da Spotlight", this week we have our "Spotlight Of The Month - August" contest. The contestants are Nakeya (who won last month), Shiyanni, Keri, Ms Kenyatta and Cherie. The looks of these women calls for a big race. • 6-30-2002 This week we have an unusual six contestants for "Da Spotlight Of The Month - July". The six being Cryssy, Taheera, Nakeya, Angie, Beverly and last month's winner, Tarnita. The contest ends Thursday, July 4th at 11:59 PM so go over and vote now before it is over. Looking at the caliber of these six women this should be a good one. Other than that, our next event "It's About Time" is scheduled for Saturday, August 24th at Club Demerara's in NY, NY. This event which feature appearances by some of "Da Spotlight" models as well as a talent showcase. The talent search is currently in effect. Go to "DaEvents" in order to obtain more information about this event and the talent search. • 6-23-2002 Two events have officially been scheduled for this year. The first one will take place on Saturday, August 24th at Club Demerara's in NY, NY. This event is a party which will also feature a talent showcase. The talent search is currently in effect. If you are a singer, dancer, rapper, hairstylist or have any other talent that you would like to display then e-mail us for details. You can also visit "DaEvents" in order to obtain more information about this event. • 6-9-2002 It has been a while since the "News" has been updated. There is a lot going on behind the scenes that will be presented to the public in the near future. Events such as a Hair Show and Fashion Show have constantly been pushed back due to conflicts with time and location. Also, room has to be made for other company business. However, "Da Spotlight Of The Week" and "Da Spotlight Of The Month" still has been updated according to schedule. I thank everyone for their support of Bassment Entertainment and this web site. The support is appreciated, noticed and will be acknowledged. In the meantime, "Da Sound Board" has been added to allow you all to "sound off" on issues and discuss these issues with others. So have fun and be polite. • 4-28-2002 Well the hype from the NSBE National Convention in Orlando, FL and the fun and parties that came along with it have passed (but are not forgotten). I would now like to recognize T.R.I.B.E. of the Williston Northhampton School in Easthampton, MA and acknowledge Melissa K. of that organization and school. My reason for recognizing them is because I did a party for them over the weekend for their 2nd Annual T.R.I.B.E. Fest and would like to thank them for that. I would also like to acknowledge the schools that were present, namely Loomis, Westminster (who rolled deep), Wilbraham, Ethel Walker and NMH. • 3-31-2002 After coming back from Orlando, Florida for the NSBE National Convention I am almost at a loss for words and don't know where to begin. Thousands of college students from all over the U.S. (Six Regions), Canada, Ghana, Nigeria, etc. (International Region) in one city. All coming together for five days of professionalism, workshops, networking and the career fair. I went to party, namely the International Flag Party and JoyRide. I want to thank The Most High God for allowing me and everyone else to have a safe passage to and from Orlando. I also want to thank Him for the blessing me with the talent that I possess. I'd like to send big thanks to Monif for making me the DJ for the International Flag Party happen and I'd also like to thank the International Committee (IC) and the NSBE Treasurer for allowing it. (IC, I'm ready for Jamaica if you need me). I also have to reach out to Nvidius for the top-a-top party...The Joyride Before I get to that I'd like to reach out to a few people, matter of fact I'm reaching out to a lot of people. 1. BMC - My crew, top-a-tops. Randy, Jeff, Trevor (hold your liquor, all three of y'all), Dre, Wayne, Ben, Jamal, Claude, Shane, Marcus, Stephanie, Naja and Francesca (although you wasn't there). I know I'm forgetting some names. 2. NYIT - Chris and the crew, always representing to the fullest. 3. Tanya Stephens - not the reggae artist but rather the spice girl from Montreal. I never did see you at the party. 4. The BC (Boston College) Divas. One of y'all (whose name I didn't get) was with me most of the party asking for shout-outs and making requests and then disappeared once the party was over. I'll catch you. 5. The women of Arizona State (especially the one in the red). 6. The Poly-NSBE crew - Chris, Phil, Rodney, George, Janelle and the crew. Most of y'all must have been hiding all week. 7. The girl whose camera I held at the International Flag Party, unfortunately I was too busy and crowded by people to chat. 8. #46 of Quality Car Service in Brooklyn, NY for bringing me to the airport and Jay Lowe of Mears Shuttle in Orlando, FL for bringing me to the Rosen Centre. 9. DJ Roc - I wasn't at any of your parties but I heard about them and I know how you do already. 10. All of Region One, All - I repped y'all hard at both parties and your representation made it worth it. No one parties like us. 11. Region Six - Y'all represented hard out there, almost giving Region One a run. 12. Region One REB and Affiliates - Dave, Keesha (reppin' the Bronx, we gotta talk), Ben Guy, Dwayne and the rest of y'all. Now we get to Nvidius (Ace, Markell, Burt, Abasi, Damon and the countless members of y'all). We gotta link up and do something one day, matter of fact soon. Y'all hooked up the parties at the Mercado lovely. I thank y'all for bringing me along (and paying me on time). • 3-17-2002 Spring Break is only one week away and Florida will be the place to be. I know a lot of people are going to Miami for Spring Break while some are going to Orlando for the NSBE (National Society of Black Engineers) National Convention. If you are at the latter be sure to check out Badman Benny AKA DDP (Dun De Place) Thursday, March 28th for the International Flag Party at the Rosen Centre. Also, check out Apolonia Mack (our first Brooklynite) appearing in Da Spotlight this week. • 3-10-2002 Happy Birthday to Rachel and big up to all who came out and attended her Hands Up Affair "Birthday Celebration". Rachel lost her cake but I'm sure she'll get another one. The place was ram (I had two drinks spilled on me, one by Rachel herself) and the music was nice courtesy of Rising Movements and Da Badman. Big up to G-Force and Wavey Kat Movements for passing through also. Look out for more Rachel and Rising Star Movements events in the future whose goal is to lock down Brooklyn. Log On to the March 16th party in Brooklyn, NY being put on by the Dot Com Family. Information about those parties can be found in Da DJs. • 3-3-2002 This weekend if you are within the Tri-State area then log on to the Zaro, Rachel and Andrew Digital "Hands Up Affair" on the 9th in Brooklyn, NY. On the 16th it's the Dot Com Family's "Birthday Pre-Spring Break Bash". Benyamin AKA BadMan Benny will be the guest DJ at both events. More information about those parties can be found in Da DJs. • 2-24-2002 Since the Featured Model section is not only open to models we have decided to rename it "Da Spotlight". All women can shine and have the opportunity to model and pose here. Also, this week begins voting for the March Model Of The Month. The contestants are Ameshya, Princess, C.J.. Tiffanye and Jazmine & Venice. In other news, stay logged on to the March 9th and March 16th parties in Brooklyn, NY. Information about those parties can be found in Da DJs. • 2-17-2002 It's been a very eventful weekend with the main event being the NSBE Region One Spring Regional Conference in Wakefield, MA. This event was planned by Liz (nuff shouts with shouts also going to Dave, Ben and Keisha). BMC literally took the conference by storm, big shouts to them (you know how we roll). Next on the NSBE list is the National Convention in Orlando, FL (March 27th - 31st) where Benyamin will be the DJ for the International Flag Party (thanks to Monif). Also log on to the March 9th and 16th parties in Brooklyn being thrown by Rising Star Movements and the Dot Com Family respectively. E-mail us or go to Da DJs for information about these events. • 2-10-2002 Continued congratulations go out to Ameshya from San Jose, CA who was voted February Model Of The Month. Our featured Model Of The Week is "Tiffanye Young" from Conyers, GA. Upcoming parties for BadMan Benny will take place in Brooklyn (March 9th and March 16th), Orlando, FL (March 28th) and Easthampton, MA (April 27th). None of these are Bassment Entertainment events but you can e-mail us or go to Da DJs for information about these events. • 2-3-2002 Congratulations to Ameshya, our February Model Of The Month. Our featured Model Of The Week is another "Princess". Big up to Dian, Nancy and the Trinity College (Hartford, CT) student body at the party last weekend. Also, a special big up to Sulayne, Andrea, Immet and the CSA crew that mashed up the dance with the Log On, large up yourselves. The number one song and number one dance right now took over Trinity College. Melissa, Easthampton get ready. • 1-27-2002 First of all I would like to thank Dian from Trinity College in Hartford, CT, Monif of NSBE and Melissa from Easthampton, MA. The reason can be found out by checking out "Da DJs". Second, I would like to thank all of the models who are submitting applications. Unfortunately I can not get back to everyone immediately but I do hope to feature everyone some way or the other. Voting has begun for the February Model Of The Month, it will end on Thursday at 11:59 PM. Stay tuned for more news next week. • 1-06-2002 2002...Bassment Entertainment will try to be more event orientated for the first two quarters. We will be announcing details for a a hair show later this month and details for the fashion show (finally) in February. This is all pending a good location for both shows as well as sponsors. Anyone interested in more information to sponsor any of our events can contact us by e-mailing us. • 12-30-2001 Well we have a winner for our first "Model Of The Year" contest. The winner will be announced later this week but those that have been voting and following the contest should already know who the winner is. It was a tight race and it came down to the last day to declare a winner. Our first annual fashion show is still in the works as is another big event. We hope to bring you information about both soon. Anyone interested in more information to sponsor any of our events can contact us by e-mailing us. • 12-23-2001 Well this is the final week of voting for the "2002 Model Of The Year" contest. It looks as though it may go down to the wire as one visitor pointed out. It's a tight race between Maya and April Rain just as it was for the "December Model Of The Month" contest. Our first annual fashion show is still in the works as is another big event. We hope to bring you information about both soon. Anyone interested in more information to sponsor any of our events can contact us by e-mailing us. • 12-2-2001 The Model Of The Month contest turned out to be an exciting one. LaShawna seemed to be a clear winner from the beginning with April Rain behind her. Maya who had little votes during the first two days came out strong during the last two days and overtook the lead on the last day to win. We now move on to the Model Of The Year contest which will run for three weeks. Our first annual fashion show is still in the works and we hope to bring you information soon. Anyone interested in sponsoring the fashion show can e-mail us. • 11-25-2001 The stakes are high... The stakes for being a "Bassment Entertainment Model Of The Month" have been raised. We have also announced the "2002 Bassment Entertainment Model Of The Year" contest. Information can be found in the "Featured Model" section. There are no other news to announce. • 11-11-2001 Forward ever, backward never... This is the fifth month of this web site, two events have passed since then, DaKaos is in the studio, Benyamin is getting work, the fashion show is coming, visitors are logging on and models are applying. What more can we say? • 10-21-2001 Party people, your dreams have now been fullfilled...Once again it's on. After much consideration and much deliberation we have found a place to hold our next party, 3B5. Given the events that took place here in NYC it has been moved from Manhattan to Brooklyn (where it took place for the previous years). Check out "DA Events" for more information concerning that. Stayed tuned for more upcoming events and keep your eye on the "Featured Model" section. We are moving straight ahead on all of our objectives...this includes our artists. • 9-30-2001 Our continued condolences and prayers go to the families and friends of the victims of the incidents at the World Trade Center in NYC, the Pentagon in Washington, D.C and Pennsylvania. Certain plans have changed due to the recent events in NYC but the show (or shows) must go on. Stayed logged on for more information about upcoming events. • 9-16-2001 At this time Bassment Entertainment would like to send our condolences, support and prayers to the families and friends of those injured and missing due to the tragedies at the World Trade Center in NYC and the Pentagon in Washington, DC Our heart also goes out to the Fire Department, EMS, Steel Workers, MTA, Port Authority and all other workers and volunteers who continue to risk their lives and spend their time trying to recover the injured and missing and clear the debris at both locations. We'd also like to thank those named above as well as residents, store workers and those passing by in the area who helped others survive while everything unfolded by pulling people to safety. • 9-2-2001 Many may have noticed the changes to the web site during the past few weeks. Much work has been done to make the site easier to navigate and look better. Also, a lot of work has been done to get the Featured Model section rolling. It begins this week with Vilayna, a model from Long Beach, CA. There are more to come for the upcoming weeks so be on the lookout. Benyamin has been very busy during the month of August and he would like to thank Africa Productions, VP Productions and Trinity College (Hartford, CT) for keeping him busy with parties. Lookout for more events from both Africa Productions and VP Productions. A special acknowledgment goes out to the staff and students at Trinity College for what went down this past weekend. • 8-12-2001 There's not too much going on this time around. The big news, and this is for the ladies out there, is that the "Featured Model" section has been updated. It is now complete with details and an application including instructions on how females may send their photos in. Therefore, females interested in becoming "Model Of The Week" and "Model Of The Month" may now begin to submit applications. On the events side, Benyamin will be a featured DJ at Club Speed in NYC on August 18th, 2001. E-mail him for more info, also learn more about him at "DA DJs". • 7-29-2001 Details for our first ever fashion show (tentatively scheduled for early March, 2001) are still being worked out. Designers, models and organizers are all pitching in to help. A lot of big things are in store so if you are in or around NYC during that time it may be in your best interest to check it out. A contest for the fashion show in conjunction with the "Model Of The Month" feature are also being worked out. We don't want to let it all out yet but some model out there may win a trip to NYC for the weekend to be a spokesmodel for the event. Those interested in sponsoring the event can e-mail us. Along with the fashion show our next party (BBBY5) is scheduled for Saturday, October 27th. This is our annual birthday party for Benyamin and Co. If your birthday is around October 27th and you want to join in then e-mail us. By the way, you can check out Benyamin on the wheels on Saturday, August 18th at Club Speeed in NYC. This event is being thrown by Africa Productions, another up and coming promotion team. Many of you have checked out "Da Artists" sections and seen that it hasn't changed a bit while the other sections of this web site have. Fret not though, DaKaos is in the studio now so expect to hear something from him within the next few months. There's a lot going on with us so it is tough to focus on all of our objectives but nothing is left in the backburner. • 7-15-2001 Fiesta Freak-on has gone and passed. Now we look forward to BBBY5 (Benyamin's Birthday Bashment Year 5) which will most likely be held in Manhattan somewhere on either October 27th or November 3rd. Those with birthdays around that time and want to celebrate with us contact us and let us know. As for this web site, there are just technical updates being made everyday. Most of them will go unnoticed but we are hard at work on this. Models, stay tuned, information on how to become featured is coming soon. The Bassment Designs web site is still under construction as well but those interested in having us design your logos, flyers, banners, wallpapers, etc. can contact Naphtali. • 7-01-2001 We have just completed our first year in business and to commemorate this we are holding a "Fiesta Freak-on" celebration in NYC on July 7th, 2001. More information about that can be seen in "Da Events". If you are in the area and available then come out and "Let's Get Dirty". We are also starting a graphic design company called Bassment Designs, a web site for this is in the works. The scheduled launch date is August 1st, 2001 but it may be out sooner than that. This company, spearheaded by Naphtali, will provide clients with all their graphic design needs (flyers, posters, wallpapers, web banners, etc.) Lastly, we will start a "Model Of The Week" feature and "Model Of The Month" contest on both of our web sites in September. • 6-19-2001 After a long wait (by us not by you) the Bassment Entertainment web site has been launched. There is not much going on now and we are still in the "Under Construction" mode so most of the updates will involve this site. Updates concerning the entire company will be made at a faster rate once things start rolling. In the meantime, keep checking back here to see what is going on with us. Fiesta, Fiesta...The end of this month will be our first year in business (officially) and we are celebrating this with a "Fiesta Freak-On".
